  • What to Expect

Trinity is a church in and for the city of Fort Worth. We have a heart for God and a heart for Fort Worth. We’d love for you to join us for worship at 4pm every Sunday! We are excited to move into our new building (207 W. Broadway Ave) in the Near Southside neighborhood in early 2023! While it is under construction, we are gathering for worship at Connell Baptist Church (4736 Bryce Ave).

Visiting a church for the first time can be a little intimidating, especially if you don’t know what to expect. If you’re looking for a place to explore Christianity, or if you’re looking for a new church home, we’d love for you to join us for worship and see what we’re all about.

Worship

We believe worship to be both a joyful expression of our love of God and a means by which God, by his Spirit, cultivates and shapes that very love. We recognize that we are a people in desperate need of the grace that Jesus offers us, and so our liturgy rehearses the Gospel each week through Scripture readings, prayers, worship songs and hymns, preaching, and the weekly celebration of communion. Although our worship is structured and informed by older practices connecting us to the historic Christian church, it is simultaneously warm, accessible, and personal. In general, we believe worship should feel like a banquet hall where a community gathers to celebrate Jesus and be sent out to participate in his mission in the world rather than merely a concert hall (to be entertained) or lecture hall (to be informed). It is our hope that as we gather weekly, Jesus will become more beautiful and believable to us.

When is Your Service?

We meet for worship at 4pm every Sunday afternoon at Connell Baptist Church (4736 Bryce Ave).

What About Kids?

We believe the church is for all people–including children–and we want Trinity to be a church where children are both seen and heard. So don’t worry if your children wiggle in the chairs or make a little noise! We invite you to keep your children in our service and help them understand what is going on, sing the songs with you, and participate in worship. Children learn how to worship by imitating you. We say parts of our worship service every week in order to help our non-reading children to participate, and we have children’s bulletins available in the back. There are also ages, stages, and times when it might not be best for your children to be in worship. We have a nursery program available for children from birth to 3 years old, and a TrinityKids program during the sermon for children 4 years old through 2nd grade. All nursery volunteers have been through both background checks and Ministry Safe training.
